Let the Competition Begin!

Let the Competition Begin!

by Calley Klindt

This years FFA fruit sales has a little competition going on under the scenes.

All of the FFA members were separated into teams of 5-8 members, with each team trying to sell the most in their fruit sales. The team that sells the most gets to have first choice on most activities that the FFA chapter attends. The FFA chapters have 7 teams attempting to sell the most fruit and other items being sold.

Each team is led by an officer from the FFA chapter, and picked their team by rows. The teams have been selling for two weeks, and all of the teams have to turn forms in on Oct. 27. FFA advisor Eric Miller will then count the team sales for each team to compare and find out the winning team.

A lot of new members don’t know where to go to sell their fruit, but the upperclassmen have been helping by giving them hints on where to go. This teamwork concept has helped form communication with all members.

The two winners of last year, junior Haley Carlson and senior Calley Klindt, have been pushing hard to help underclassmen on their team to sell the most. FFA did not have this competition last year, as it was all individual selling.

If you would like to purchase any item being sold, talk to an FFA member.
