Gracie DeArment, Staff Writer
A journalism member who always has a happy attitude is sophomore Gracie DeArment. DeArment is a JP student who joined journalism because her older sister was a member and had good things to say about the class. DeArment’s family includes her mom and dad, her two older sisters, and her dog. Outside of school, her favorite thing to do is tumble at her dance classes, but in school, she is a part of the cheerleading team and she manages boys’ basketball. Her favorite thing about school is seeing all of her friends and her favorite thing about journalism is the environment created by the members. She is in her second semester of journalism and is proudest of her senior story that she wrote for the end-of-the-year senior magazine. Lastly, she plans to continue journalism because she said, “It shows you how to be a good writer.”
