Gracie Dearment is a junior yearbook editor in journalism. The parts she likes about journalism are the social aspect like meeting lots of new people and talking to everyone. She also likes that she gets a lot of freedom in journalism. Dearment’s favorite part of journalism is the teacher Mrs. Berryhill. Her favorite subject in school is English because that is what she is best at. She stays involved with her school by doing football cheerleading, basketball managing, and journalism. Dearment said “My favorite part about our school is HARK” Honesty, Accountability, Respect, Kindness is the acronym for HARK which is Atlantic High School’s core values. In her free time, she likes to drive around with her friends and watch sports and movies with her family. Some of her hobbies are swimming and tanning in the summer but she also likes to play golf and dance at Dance Atlantic.
