Aunika Darrow, Staff Writer
Aunkia Darrow, 16, is a junior, and part of the yearbook editorial team at Atlantic High School. “This will be my second year in journalism.” Darrow said, “I believe that people should join journalism because it is such a creative and fun environment.” Darrow is involved in lots of activities including, softball, tennis, and basketball management, and she's looking forward to playing golf in the spring. Darrow works at the Heritage House with her “amazing” residents in her free time. She "loves” the atmosphere and just generally working there. Darrow said her favorite part of journalism last year was creating her ceiling tile with her friends and classmates. "My ceiling tile is one of my greatest accomplishments.” Her other accomplishments include writing two stories for the AHS Needle website, two interview stories, and organizing the Spaghetti Supper spread in the 2024 Javelin yearbook. She is unsure where she is going to attend college, but her future plans are to earn her CNA and become a nurse.
