Ethan Polluck is a senior at the CCEOC who previously attended CAM. He has been attending for three years, since he was a sophomore. Polluck said, “I want to graduate and get a high school education.”
Polluck said a typical day is mainly sitting at the computer doing math and English. He said he expected it to be easier, but it’s not. Some of the students at the CCEOC have a job, and Polluck is employed at Adair Lumber Company. Polluck attends class three full days and then goes to work in the afternoon until five on Wednesday and Friday.
Polluck said the hardest part about the CCEOC is driving to and from school and then to work. He also said he misses CAM “every single day” and misses not being able to talk, and not being around friends. Polluck said the best part of attending is being able to work at his own pace.
His plans for after graduation include going to Iowa Western or Iowa Lakes for radio broadcasting and journalism.
