This girl knows her way around an instrument and has a spike to be feared. Riley Seufert has been involved in band and volleyball throughout high school. When she’s not spiking on the court or directing the band as drum major, Seufert can be found playing basketball, running track, performing in the musical pit and participating in NHS, jazz band and speech.

Many people have impacted Seufert’s life, including her friends and family. Her family consists of her mother, Melissa, her father, Jeremy, and her two younger brothers: Jarrett and Miles. They have attended each of her performances and games.

“My senior year has been far better than the rest,” said Seufert. Winning Homecoming Queen was an unforgettable moment for her, and she said, “It was a nice surprise to win.” Volleyball has also helped make her senior year unforgettable for many reasons, one of which being when the team won their first volleyball tournament at Coon Rapids this year. Seufert has played varsity since her freshman year and said that being on the varsity team pushed her to “be the player I am now.”

After graduation, Seufert plans to attend the University of Iowa. Although she used to dream of becoming either a princess or a butterfly because of their elegance when she was young, she is now opting to study to become another profession.
