Boys’ Tennis Competes in First Dual at Creston

On Thursday, April 5, the boys’ tennis team travelled to Creston to compete in there first dual of the year.

Five out of the six varsity players are seniors, which is going to help throughout the year. The boys had a very strong start to the year taking down the Creston Panthers 9-0.

Seniors Josh McLean and Kalob Flory both recorded shutouts in there respective games. The youngest player, sophomore Nile Petersen, took down his number 3 opponent by a score of 10-1.

Last year’s State-placing doubles team of Grant Podajksy and Cooper McDermott trailed by a score of 2-6 at one point in their match; however, the two came from behind to take the win by a score of 10-8.

The Trojans’ next dual is Tuesday, April 10. at Glenwood.
