Boys Track Competes in Dan Lennon Invite at South Dakota

Last Monday, March, 19. The Atlantic boys track team traveled to the University of South Dakota to compete in the 2017 Dan Lennon Invite.

The Medley relay of Seniors Dillon Sonntag, Zeke Whetstone, Juniors Zade Niklasen and Chase Mullenix placed 1st and were the Dan Lennon Invite champs. In the 60 meter hurdles Senior Gratt Reed kept the season hot finish 1st.

The 4×200 made up of Sonntag, Reed, Niklasen and Senior Jayden Barnwell finished third. In open 400 Whetstone finished third and in the 800 Mullenix placed first and Freshman Craig Allen Becker finished second.

To end the day the 4×400 of Niklasen, Sonntag, Whetstone, and Reed placed third.

The Boys next track meet will be Tuesday, Mar. 27. at Denison High School.
