Valentine’s Day was in full swing here at AHS today as ladies entering the building received a heart necklace from members of the AHS Student Council to participate in an activity mentioned at the State Student Council Conference. Gentlemen roaming the halls then tried to spark a conversation with a girl wearing a necklace. If she talked, the boy collected her necklace.  The boy who gathered the most hearts earned a prize.

In addition, Crush-o-grams have been delivered to students’ designated “crush.” The Crush-o-grams, sold for $2 by NHS, included a can of crush soda with a flavor determined by your choice as well as small note. Secretaries in the front office said 20 Valentine-related deliveries have been made to the school office for several staff and students.
