Last Friday, Jan. 19. the Atlantic Trojans girls basketball team hosted the Clarinda Cardinals in the first game of the boys and girls double header on Senior night.

The four Seniors recognized were Ally Anderson, Riley Seufert, Haley Engler, and Cheyenne Elliot. The Trojans came out in the first quarter on fire sinking most of there shots, they jumped out to an early 22-6 lead. The second quarter was close in scoring with the Trojans only scoring 9 while the Cardinals followed with 7.

The Cardinals came out rejuvenated in the second half scoring 19 points in the third quarter to the Trojans 15. However, Atlantic led the scoring in the fourth 15-12 and secured their second win of the season by a score of 61-44.

The girls game tonight at Treynor was postponed due to inclement weather. The new date for the game is unclear yet. Their next game will be Friday, Jan. 26 here against Red Oak.
