Getting to Know the Class of 2017: Lucas Foster

Senior spotlight featuring Lucas Foster.

When Lucas Foster was in 5th grade, he lived in Elkhorn. His brother was chasing him around one day and he ran from him back into their house. Upon arriving at the house, he ran inside, and closed and locked the door before his brother got there. When Foster’s brother got there, he was standing by the door. His brother knocked on the glass door and it broke. “He didn’t even knock on the door that hard.” Foster said. When his father got home, he followed the trail of blood to the bathroom where he was located. Foster’s father gave him a rag to cover the wound until they made it to the hospital. Foster said at the time he was scared because he didn’t know what getting stitches was going to be like. “I got four blue stitches; they really didn’t hurt that much.” He also said the worst part was getting the shots when he got there.

Foster’s most memorable moment was going to Washington. Foster’s uncle came down to Atlantic to work on his father’s house. Once the house work was completed Foster’s uncle asked if he wanted to go to Washington so they could go fishing and see his three cousins. “We only went fishing once though.” Foster said. Foster also went to Seattle while there with his uncle. Foster also went to his first concert with his uncle and cousins while there. The name of the band was Streetlight Manifesto. In between these activities, Foster biked almost everyday. At the end of his trip, Foster also took his first plane ride.
