Showing off the artistic talent that Atlantic has to offer, 18 students who are in second semester art classes traveled to Shenandoah with their best pieces and entered them in the Hawkeye 10 Art Show. On April 26, the students joined 10 other schools at the showcase at Shenandoah. The art teacher here at the high school, Pat Wiederien, said what she enjoys the most about joining the art show is because, “having the students realize how good they are and the chance for our students to interact with the artists from the other Hawkeye 10 schools.”
Each of the students were awarded with some ribbons for their art pieces, Kyja Arnold was given 4 ribbons, Hunter Oliver, Sydney Bean, Devin Erickson and Bailey Steffens received 3 ribbons. Kylie Neal, Fatima Gonzales and Victoria Krogh received 2 ribbons and Dalton Coenen, Hanna Layland, Callie Richter, Katelyn Kelly, Colissa Wheeler, Ethan Pross, Audrey Cave and Ben Heath were awarded with 1 ribbon.
