Getting to know the Class of 2017: Hannah West

Senior Spotlight Featuring: Hannah West

Halsey Bailey, JP Student

Hannah West sticks to the things she puts her mind to, and she’s proud of it. If given the chance for a “do-over” in life, West would change nothing. As a child, West had absolutely no idea what she wanted to be when she grew up. However, she recently swore into the Marine Corps. “I wanted to do something bigger and broader,” West said.

West has three siblings- Drew McConnell, Alyssa West, and Madison West. She has two dogs and a cat. Her most cherished family memory is boating and camping with her entire family. West enjoys spending her time outside near the water, especially when she’s fishing. Aside from her future career in the Marine Corps, West hopes her life outside of high school will consist of possibly living in a different state and saving her money.

West said Lori Parrott and Justin Williams were the most influential people during her high school career. “They have helped me grow a lot mentally.” West has lived in Atlantic all her life and attended school in the Atlantic Community School District. Her most memorable moment throughout her school years is being a part of the Atlantic Girls Soccer Team. She would always like to be remembered as a good, caring person.
