Alexis Brockman is a leader on the cross country team and track team. Brockman participated in softball her freshman year, cross country all four years, basketball her junior year and track all four years. Track is her favorite sport. With her dad by her side, there is nothing she can’t do. Brockman’s dad had a really bad accident and all she needed to hear was if he was okay. “My dad is probably the most influential person in my life right now because he is always there for me and always tells me to be strong,” Brockman said.
Brockman’s most memorable moment was when she jumped 4’10 in high jump her junior year of track. She is most proud of never giving up and working a little harder, “I never give up.” Brockman learns this from her role model who never gives up, her grandma. Ms. Walker is the teacher who made the biggest impact on her throughout her high school years.
After Brockman graduates she would like to attend college to become an athletic trainer. Brockman said she always wanted to go into the athletic training because she is athletic herself. She loves seeing other people happy and she wants to be remembered as nice because she, “is nice to everyone.” Brockman lives with her mom and her two brothers, Nathan and Jayden. In her future life she sees herself married and settled down.
