The Atlantic Trojan wrestlers wrap up the State Wrestling Tournament with four individual place winners, and finished eighth during the duals.

Carter Cox, Drake Roller, Zac Stork, and John McConkey all were place winners. McConkey finished 2nd in the 285 weight class, Stork finished 5th at 195, Roller finished 7th at 170, and Cox finished 5th at 120.

Coach Tim Duff said that “I know the boys all fell short of their individual goals, but the journey was so exciting and will forever be a part of their inner makeup.”

Duff also said that the coaches are very proud of the entire team that qualified for the State Dual Tournament. “It was such a good group to work with.  These guys busted it whenever called upon. “

Duff said next year’s focus remains the same. “We want to improve individually and continue to get better.  We want to keep pushing and become the very best version of ourselves.”

“I would like to say thanks to the entire AHS Staff and Student Body for all the support you have given to the wrestlers throughout the season,” said Duff.
