Camden McFadden was a busy student who held 2 part-time jobs. He worked at Atlantic Fridley Theatres, and for the electronic department at AHS. While McFadden enjoyed working at the theater, it was only temporary. What was most definitely not temporary, was his knack for computer technology. McFadden’s interest in computers was what inspired him to apply for the electronic department job at the school. He planned to go to Iowa State University to study in computer technology.

McFadden’s great interest in computers most likely started when he began gaming for fun with his older brother Kerran. “We mostly played Halo on our Xbox 360 along with a few other games,” McFadden said. He switched to gaming on a computer when he bought a laptop. McFadden was intrigued by his laptop, and his interest in computers began to grow.

Around the age of 16, McFadden decided he wanted to build his own computer. After doing abundant research, McFadden used a trustworthy website to order all of the parts he needed to build a computer. When the computer parts finally arrived, McFadden built his computer in around three hours. McFadden admitted to struggling at the beginning of the building process.  “At first it was really confusing, but then I figured it out with the help of youtube,” McFadden said. “It can run any game I want to play.” Most people do not build their own computers, but McFadden can gladly take claim to the complex accomplishment of building his own.
