On Saturday Dec. 10, Atlantic will be hosting the SWIBA honor band auditions. There are 24 band members who will be representing Atlantic. Ana Muell, Sarah Schorle, Ethan Simmons, Katie York, McKayla Weppler, Jacob Park, Caine Page, Erin Barrick, Chris Krogh, Caleb Spurr, Josh McLean, Sam Coder, Dylan Litty, Katie Darrow, Anna Iekel, Page Behrens, Rebekah Hallman, Hannah Richter, Morganne Cameron, Bryn Blanchette, Charity Williams, Nadia Somers, Evan Brummer and Miranda Chipman  They will also be auditioning along with 42 other schools such as, Harlan, Glenwood, CAM and Griswold. The number one goal on Atlantic’s band director Jarrod O’Donnell is, “to have as many kids make it as possible.“

For five years, senior Nadia Somers has made it into the SWIBA honor band with her talented skills on the french horn. “This will be my sixth and final year auditioning. I’ve made SWIBA all five years and will hopefully make it six!” Somers said, I’m not as nervous as I’ve been for other auditions, but I always get jitters before I go in the room.”
