On Tuesday, Nov. 29, the boys’ basketball team traveled to Winterset to play the Huskies. The freshmen, JV, and varsity teams came out victorious.

During the freshmen game, the team swept Winterset 56-28. The leading scorer of the game was Tyler Moen with 17 points, Nile Peterson and Bradley Dennis were to follow with 15 points each.

Head coach Brandon Krause said, “We got out of the gates fast by playing good defense. Our transition offense was outstanding. We had multiple guys running the floor in transition, which gave us easy buckets. I thought Cyle Renaud did a great job of being the floor General and getting our team into the right offense and leading transition.”

Point guard Cyle Renaud said, “I think we played really well on the defensive end, and scored well in transition. We have really good team chemistry because we’ve played with each other   since we started basketball.”

Krause said, “I am extremely proud of the effort of these kids, and if we can continue progressing with this effort we will have a great season.”

The freshman team plays their next game today at home against St. Albert.
