Trojan Football is Defeated by ADM Tigers

On Friday, Oct, 7, the Trojan football team traveled to Adel to play the ADM tigers. The Trojans fell to the Tigers 7-36.

The Tigers came onto the field strong, and were able to score a touchdown to start off in the first quarter, leading the Trojans 7-0.

Throughout the rest of the half ADM was able to score two more touchdowns, putting them ahead of the Trojans 21-0.

In the third quarter the Tigers scored once again, increasing the score to 28-0.

The Trojans were able to score once in the middle of the fourth quarter, slightly closing the gap to 28-7.

By the end of the game the Tigers were able to score one more time, ending the game 36-7.

Head coach Mike McDermott said, “For the most part all of our seniors, and players have done a good job with positive attitudes. Seniors have done a good job stepping up as well. Chase Mullenix has done a good job adapting to the varsity field and stepping up for being an underclassmen.”

Sophomore Chase Mullenix said, “I have improved a lot from last year, from getting stronger and faster during the off season to being able to compete better with the older guys. I hope everything keeps going well, and I keep becoming a better football player the next couple years.”

The next football game is the pink-out game this Friday, Oct. 14, at home.
