On Monday, the girls and boys traveled over to Glenwood once again for a Co-Ed meet. There was 15 teams competing for the boys’ and 11 girls’ teams. The girls had a good night placing 5th with 73 points out of the 11 teams.

To start off the night in the field events, sophomore Cheyenne Elliott had a personal best in the shot put. She threw 34’2” placing 4th. In the long jump, sophomore Charity Williams jumped her personal best 15’1”. She was able to place 8th in that event.

The Trojans started out the running events with a bang as senior Tiffany Williams took home the crown in the 3000. She ran a time of 11:06. Fellow 3000 runner, freshman Karsyn Rush placed 7th with a time of 12:06.

In the 4×800 the girls placed 6th with a time of 11:51. The girls on that squad in order are Saeugling, Seufert, Parker, Zikuda. In shuttle hurdle the Trojans took home the silver and they ran a time of 1:13 a new best time on the year. In the distance medley the girls placed 4th and ran a time of 4:41. The girls in that event are Shelby Pelzer, Laeni Pelzer, Heidi Williams, and Tiffany Williams.

In the 1500 Tiffany Williams dominated the race and came home with the gold and ran a time of 5:10. To end the night the girls placed 5th in both the 4×100 and 4×400. In the 4×100, Charity Williams ran a personal best 12.1. In the 4×400, Taylor Hansen ran and 65.9 which is a new personal best for her and Tiffany Williams, the anchor also ran a personal best with a time of 63.5.

The next meet is in Atlantic Thursday. It is the JV co-ed Trojan Invitational.
