Tuesday, April 5,  the girls’ golf team traveled to Carroll to take on the Knights of Kuemper. Overall the girls were victorious in their match with a score of 170 to 183.

Junior Brooke Newell was the medalist with a score of 38, and senior Erin Olsen was runner up with a score of 39. Olsen said she thought the team played well for the first meet. Olsen also said she played with Newell and thought both of them struck the ball very well.

Chipping and putting are the skills Olsen said she needs to work on.  Although the girls played well, they still think there is room to improve as the season progresses.

Look for the girls to make another State appearance this year later this spring.
