Their first performance will begin at 8 a.m.

The events they have entered in are  Acting, Improvisation, Solo Musical Theatre, After-Dinner Speaking, Original Oratory, Poetry, Prose, Literacy Program, Radio Broadcasting, and Storytelling. If they receive a one rating, they will then advance on to State on March 12.

From there they can be chosen to perform at All-State on April 4. The students are coached by theater teacher Alex Bales and Spanish teacher Trisha Niceswanger. Niceswanger said, “I really love seeing kids improve in their speaking skills and moving out of their comfort zone. My goal is to see them really get into their piece and enjoy performing it. We are taking a total of 26 entries, and I would love to see at least half of them advance on to State contest.”
