Little Orphan Annie’s coming to Atlantic. Music directors Jarrod O’Donnell and Jennifer Gaesser have announced that the spring musical will be “Annie,” performed on stage March 11-13.

Choir director Jennifer Gaesser and band director Jarrod O’Donnell are preparing for the 2016 AHS musical. This year it will be “Annie.”

According to Gaesser, who is producing her fourth musical at AHS, there are 27 students involved in the acting portion of the production. More will participate in the pit, playing music to accompany the show.

The production is comprised of many choreographed dance numbers, which Gaesser said will be a challenge. The set pieces are bigger than those used in last year’s production of “Willy Wonka,” but there are not as many of them.

Practice times vary from 4-6 or 7-9 p.m., depending on students’ schedules.

Senior Corgan Peterson will again be acting as stage manager.  Juniors Nick Edwards and Eric Wieser will run lights and sound.
