RECAP: Boys Basketball vs. Denison

On Friday, Jan. 8, the boys’ basketball team defeated the Denison Monarchs. The final score of the game was 64-28, advancing the Trojan’s record to 1-9.

The Trojans took the lead early in the game holding Denison to only 9 points by the end of the first quarter.

By halftime, the Trojans only let the Monarchs score 2 of the Trojans 25. The halftime score was 34-11.

During the middle of the third quarter head coach Alan Jenkins sent in players from the JV team that suit varsity. Freshman Chase Mullenix, sophomores Dillon Sonntag and Ben Renaud, junior Jake Olsen, and senior Alec Hayes were the first 5 players to step into the varsity game. Mullenix scored a big 3 early in the quarter, with Renaud, Olsen, and Hayes scoring to follow.

The Trojans ended the game 64-28. On Tuesday, Jan. 12, the Trojans take on the Glenwood Rams for the second time this season. JV plays at 4:30 at the middle school, with varsity to follow the girls varsity game at 7:30.
