Friday, Jan 8. Atlantic Trojans take on the Denison-Schleswig Monarchs in Hawkeye 10 Conference matchup at home.

The Trojans are coming into the game 8-1 after a tough loss to Harlan on Jan. 5. The Monarchs are 1-6 with their only win against Red Oak.

Atlantic has a shooting percentage of 43.6%, while Denison-Schleswig has a 36.7% shooting percentage.

Senior Ryan Hawkins has 200 points and junior Garrett Franken has 158 points. For Denison the top scorers are Conner Andersen with 60 points and Jake Farley with 48 points.

Both teams picked up a win against Red Oak. Atlantic won by 38 compared to Denison winning by 16. On the other hand, both teams suffered a loss against Harlan. Denison lost by 21 and Atlantic lost by 7.

Atlantic and Denison-Schleswig face off tomorrow, Jan. 8., at the Atlantic High school gymnasium, varsity starting at 7:30. The theme for the game is flannel Friday.
