After splitting a double dual at home Thursday night, the Trojans will head to Council Bluffs today for one of their most competitive tournaments of the year.

The Dec. 11-12 Council Bluffs Classic brings teams from five states, including Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, and Missouri into the Mid America Center for two action packed days of scrapping. The tournament will consist of the wrestlers being seeded into a round robin bracket for day one and then put into a 16 man, double elimination bracket for day 2. The top two wrestlers from the round robin bracket will go to the gold bracket and the bottom two go into the silver bracket. The winner of each gold bracket will receive a scholarship for outstanding wrestling. The Most Outstanding Wrestler will receive another scholarship. The top 3 teams will also receive awards. Wrestling starts at 1 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday.
