Madrigal Dinner Dec. 11-12
December 4, 2015
“This is the countryside. My name is St. George. I am a Knight.”
It’s that time of year when people come to the AHS cafeteria to have an amazing dinner and watch the choir sing and perform a play. The Madrigal Dinner will be held on Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. and on Dec. 14 at 5 p.m. The price to come and participate is $20 per ticket. The pre order of tickets closed on Dec. 1, but choir director Jennifer Gaesser is holding onto a few extra in case you weren’t able to buy yours.
The meal will be catered by The Downtowner and includes encrusted pork loin with green beans and red baby potatoes. For the soup they will serve a creamy tomato. The salad is a mixed greens with fruit and a poppy seed dressing. Dessert is a red velvet cake.
While guests enjoy this meal they will watch the choir perform some a capella pieces and a few other choices. Not only will they sing, but they will also perform “Sir George and the Dragon Net.”
This year will the fifth annual Madrigal dinner. For Gaesser it is her fourth year participating. She is hoping that students will enjoy this wonderful experience and see how it is different from the average concert.
