Last night, Tuesday November 24, the Atlantic girls basketball team came out on top of the Denison Monarchs 66-55.  Coach Kelly Juhl said that one of the shining stars of the night was junior McKenna DenBeste.  She came off the bench due to key players getting into foul trouble.

DenBeste finished the night with 14 points and five rebounds.  DenBeste was a key Jv player and now will spend more time on the varsity floor.  “She played tremendously well,” Juhl said.  Another thing that helped the Trojans was their free throw shooting.  They went 20 for 29 from the line.  This was good enough for 69 percent. The Trojans will play again on Friday, Dec. 4 against St. Albert.
