Break open your piggy banks AHS!  Loose Change Day will be held on Nov. 19 during 3rd period.  All AHS students will be asked to bring loose change to their 3rd period class.

How it works:  All students brings in as much change as they possibly can for their teacher to count.  The goal is to bring so much change that the teacher is stuck counting, while students get a free day in the class.  

History teacher Tony Wiley and his class in previous years have raised about $270 to $300 in change.  This year Wiley has a small class but doesn’t care if his class wins. He said that he would like to urge every student to bring as much change as possible.  

This fundraiser through student council will help donate money to families with kids in need of warmer clothing for the winter.
