Zach Goff

Sophomore Zach Goff, “Goff ball”, or as most people know him, “that new ginger kid” moved back to Atlantic this school year after living in LaCygne, Kansas most of his life. Goff was born in Missouri and moved to Atlantic at a young age to start school. He would be a part of Atlantic Elementary school up until second grade when he moved to Kansas. But now, his step father, Matt Stahl found work back here in Atlantic, and he has returned to Iowa with his family.
Looking back on his old school, Goff said, “I have to say it’s a lot bigger, it was a 4A school which is bigger than this 3A school.” Goff likes the larger school setting and says that the larger class size is a good challenge for him. He has made good memories in Atlantic the short time he’s lived here, and says his favorite memories so far are hanging out with sophomore Austin Alexander and his other friends. But recently there has been a rumor going around about Goff, that he is moving back to Kansas. The rumors are true, according to Goff. He is leaving Atlantic to go live with his grandpa back in Kansas. Goff says that his family discussed it and decided that it will be best for him to go back to the Kansas environment. He also said that he does not have a say in the matter, and if he had a choice he would stay in Atlantic for the moment. Even though Goff has only lived here in Atlantic for a short time, he has made many friends and he knows he will miss everyone here, “I am kind of upset, but then again you’re going to have to deal with things in life.” Zach Goff has made an impression on everyone here in some way, and will make the most of his time here in Atlantic, as everyone else should.
