Boys Place Well at Carroll

On Thursday night the boys and girls track teams ran in Carroll for the Tiger Knight Relays. The boys finished third and the girls finished sixth.

Senior Travis Petersen placed third and senior Brody Peterson placed fifth in the discus. Senior Skyler Svoboda placed second in the shot put. The 4×200 meter relay finished third and the 4×400 finished second. Junior Brendan Holmes dominated the 400 meter hurdles not only winning the event, but breaking the meet record with a time of :55.52. Freshman Jaxson Eden won the 1600 meter run also with a time of 4:45. Freshman Gratt Reed placed third in the 200 meter dash. Junior Alec Hayes high jumped at the Drake Relays. He finished 17th with a jump of 6’03”.

Freshman Sidney Svoboda won the discus with a throw of 104’07”. Senior Savannah Sorensen placed third in the 3000 meter run and the 4×800 meter relay team finished in fourth. The sprint medley team placed fourth, and senior Allie Siggins also finished in fourth in the 1500 meter run.

The boys and girls traveled to Glenwood Monday night for the Ram Co-Ed Relays. A story is up on AHSneedle.
