Tuesday night the girls and boys track teams traveled to Lewis Central for the Lewis Central Co-Ed Track Meet. The girls finished sixth as a team and the boys finished in fourth.

On the girls side, senior Savannah Sorensen started out the evening with a fifth place finish in the 3000 meter run. The distance medley relay team finished third with a time of 4:40, and the 4×200 meter relay finished sixth with a time of 2:01. The 4×100 meter relay also finished sixth with a time of :54.63. Freshman Sidney Svoboda placed fourth in the shot put and fifth in the discus.

On the boys side, seniors Travis Petersen and Brody Peterson placed fifth and sixth in the discus. Junior Alec Hayes and senior Joey Walker placed first and second in the high jump. Hayes has also qualified for Drake Relays with a jump of 6’05”. Sophomore Phoenix Shadden finished sixth in the 3200 meter run. The shuttle hurdle relay finished in second place, and junior Brendan Holmes finished in second in the 400 meter dash. Freshman Jaxson Eden won the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:51. Holmes also won the 400 meter hurdles with a time of :56.16. Eden finished second in the 800 meter run. The 4×400 meter relay finished fourth.
