The Atlantic Trojans girls soccer team began practice just over a week ago. The team has numerous returning athletes with a total of 22 players.

Assistant coach Dan Vargason said a big goal as a team is to change their goals allowed and goals scored. Another goal is to shut out at least five opponents. Vargason said, “We want to work on being more aggressive offensively.”

The team is excited about the season and the girls are showing great work ethic, according to Vargason. The girls open the season with a game next Monday at Kuemper.
