Tuesday night, the Atlantic boys and girls basketball teams traveled to Glenwood for their second varsity double-header with the Rams. The boys pulled away from the Rams with a layup from junior Brendan Holmes with just under a minute left in the game.

Junior Ryan Hawkins had a fantastic game with 28 points, and senior Joey Walker was right behind him with 25 points. Other scorers included sophomore Garrett Franken with eight points, and junior Brendan Holmes and senior Nick Podhajsky with two points. This all contributed to the boys win over the Rams, 66-65.

According to head coach Alan Jenkins, he knew it would be a “tight game” and it was exactly what the team expected. Jenkins said that offensively the boys performed well.

The Trojans extend their record to 8-2 and host Lewis Central for more Hawkeye Ten conference action on Friday night beginning at 7:30 pm.  The theme is “Flannel Friday,” so dress in your favorite flannel and come support the Trojan basketball team!
