The time between fall and winter sports is a short period, with only one or two weeks off until their next sport starts. There are many ways to stay in shape after a season is over. Some take advantage, and some don’t. Many players spend time in the weight room or running on their own to stay in shape for their upcoming sport, but some are just enjoying their break by doing little to no physical activity.

Wrestler and sophomore Zac Stork said that he is starting to diet better, working out more ,and is starting to get into wrestling shape as he prepares for the upcoming season.

Basketball player and junior Kyle Nelson said that he plays basketball and lifts after school now as he prepares for his upcoming winter sport.

Wrestler Drake Roller said that he lifts after school and then goes to the wrestling room to prepare for wrestling. He runs to get into shape for the upcoming season.

Many students in sports have a preferred sport, whether it’s wrestling, basketball, football, swimming, etc. Stork said that basketball was his favorite sport because he’s been “participating in it longer.” Nelson said that his preferred sport was basketball because he “just likes playing basketball more.” Roller said, “You know, I really love playing football, but I am a wrestler, that is just my sport. I love wrestling and that’s what I prefer.”
