The Trojans are back at it with a two-game winning streak defeating the Rams (7-6) last Friday evening at Glenwood. After senior Derek Cook recovered a fumble on the team’s own one yard line, the Trojans had a 99-yard drive where senior Joey Walker scored a touchdown to take the lead, 7-0; that was the Trojans’ only touchdown for the evening.

Head coach Eric Waldstein said, “The guys are just giving great effort. Obviously (the game) went well, we won.” Senior Robby Bodine said, “I feel like things went great, our defense played really well and the offense kept the ball moving.”

According to Waldstein, “Nick Podhajsky and Skyler (Svoboda) had a really good game, obviously Tristen (Benn) and Joey (Walker) played really well, overall the defense had a really good game.”

To prepare for this week’s game, the team will continue to improve their effort and keep mentally focused.

The Trojans (2-1) will host the 1-2 ADM Tigers this Friday night here at the Trojan Bowl, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The students’ theme for Friday is Hawaiian/beach.
