Volleyball Improves Against Denison

On Tuesday, Oct. 7, Trojan volleyball had a game against the Denison Monarchs at home. This was the last home game of the season for the Trojans, and it was also senior night for girls involved in volleyball and swimming. Seniors Macey Schmitt, volleyball, Lindsay Keltch, swimming, and Brie Steffens, swimming, were all honored.

This is the first time that the Trojans have broken 20 points in a conference match this season. “I felt like we came out strong and finished strong, even though we did not win,” said sophomore Megan Behrens, the varsity setter. “We still need to get past that area in the middle.”

Behrens also said that the team has improved in their “individual skills,” but they need to “work at putting them together.”

On Monday, Oct. 13, there will be a JV triangular with Shenandoah and Red Oak at Red Oak. The varsity triangular will be held in Shenandoah on Tuesday the 14.
