Emma Winford, Yearbook
Junior Emma Winford is an editor for the yearbook and has been involved in journalism for two years. Winford’s favorite part of journalism is learning to use “new technology” and to see how everything “comes together.” Her favorite memory from journalism was when she made her first video. Winford is proud of a lot of things, but her biggest accomplishment is getting first place for story and video in the IHSPA 2023 Spring Journalism Contest.
In school, Winford is also involved in basketball managing and she is the Student Council President. Out of school she has a “huge” involvement in her church and Winford said she loves to help teach the kids she works with. Winford’s future plans are to attend college and work with kids and to go to Mexico to be a missionary because she “loves Spanish.”
For the upcoming school year Winford said, “I’m excited for the new experiences and memories I get to make.”
