The Atlantic boys’ soccer team picked up their second shootout victory of the season on Friday night. The Trojans defeated the Riverside Bulldogs 1-0 (3-1 in shootout).
The Trojans improve to 3-1 on the season with the win.
Neither team could find the back of the net during the 100 minutes of game play, but the Trojans found the net three out of four tries in the shootout.
Junior Cody Kirchhoff, senior Dakota Watson, and freshman Matt Smith made shots during the shootout.
Senior goalkeeper Ethan Westering made three saves from four Bulldog penalty kicks.
The Trojans travel to Glenwood tonight to take on the Rams.
