Lynnae Grandin is the name of our newest office lady. Her official role is the Activities Director Administrative Assistant. Grandin said, “I love working with students, and I was very active in Track, Band, and FCCLA at my high school, as well as never missing a Football game, so getting to support the extracurricular activities for students is already a passion of mine. I have missed working for a school district, so when this opportunity came up, I was happy to apply.” She will be a great addition to the office staff for the 2025-2026 school year.
Grandin moved to Cass County in 2020 and then to Atlantic in 2023. She said, “Despite not being from the area, Atlantic has welcomed me and made me feel at home.” Originally, she was from Oneida, Illinois, but worked for Council Bluffs CSD at Roosevelt Elementary School for seven years as a paraeducator. Then she worked at the YMCA as an aquatics director and daycare teacher.
She has a four-year-old son named Corbin with whom she spends her time outside of school. They love to fish and hunt. Her own personal hobby is reading. She said, “My Kindle is always in my bag with me.” Grandin also loves to support the students of Atlantic and attend events. She said, “If I don’t have something going on after school, you can expect to find me in the stands cheering on our students.”
Grandin is a volunteer for our local fire department and works part-time as an EMT for Cass EMS. She has a clear passion for being involved in our community and will benefit the school’s atmosphere. Grandin said, “I try to always find the bright side of things and work to build strong relationships with staff and students.”
