On Saturday, Apr. 21. the boys golf team travelled to Majestic Hills in Denison to compete in the Monarch Tournament.

Junior Matt Gearheart medaled for the first time of the year shooting a 72. Senior Ben Renaud shot three over at 74 and was a runner up. Sophomore Cyle Renaud shot a 84, Senior Mason Goergen kept it under 90 and shot a 89. Senior Austin Alexander shot a 95 and sophomore Tate Denbeste shot a 101.

Coach Ed Denbeste said “it is good to see Matt shoot a one over 72 on a good course. Ben had a great front of one under but had a few putts that wouldn’t fall on the back”. He said “it was good to see our guys rebound after not playing well last week”.

The boys next meet will be today, Monday, Apr. 23. at the Harlan Golf and Country Club.
