On Saturday, Jan. 13. The Atlantic boys basketball team participated in the Border Battle between the states of Iowa and Nebraska at the Mid-America Center. The Trojans were matched up against Bishop Neumann out of Wahoo, Nebraska.

Atlantic struggled to shoot the ball from the three-point line but was able to dish it down low to Senior Scott Leonard who was reliable all night. The Trojans had the lead at the end of the first quarter but could not keep it, the score was tied at 22 points going into halftime. In the third the Trojan offense had a tough time putting up points, they only managed to put up four points. Atlantic outscored the Cavaliers 20-13 in the fourth but it was not enough to come back and the Trojans fell 50-46.

Senior center Scott Leonard tied a season high with 21 points and led the team with 12 rebounds. Senior Grant Podhajsky had 10 points on the night shooting three for six from the field and pulled down 10 rebounds.
