Atlantic/Cam Wrestling has Strong Showing at Red Owens Holiday Classic

Over the weekend the Atlantic/Cam wrestling team traveled to South East Polk to take part in the 11 team Red Owens tournament. The boys looked to have a stronger presence on the podium in this tournament.

At 106 freshman Joe Weaver placed 4th, at 113 sophomore Aybren Moore placed 5th. Freshman Steel Mclaren placed 6th at 120, senior Kole Hansen wrestled strong and finished 3rd at 126. Atlantic had another 3rd place finisher in sophomore Chase Mclaren at 132, and sophomore Bernard McGee finished 10th at 138 pounds. At 145 senior Colton Mudd placed 8th, at 152 Atlantic/Cam had another 3rd place finisher in sophomore Connor Pellett. Freshman Peyton Fewson finished 6th at 160 pounds, Junior Kenny Jimmerson placed 7th at 170. Senior John McConkey and UNI commit ended the tournament finishing 1st overall with a win by decision 3-2.

The Atlantic/Cam wrestlers will be back in action this Friday and Saturday to take part in a duel in Eddyville, Iowa.
