Trojans Suffer Two Tough Loses at Lewis Central

The Trojans volleyball team competed hard through both games but couldn’t prevail.

Tuesday, Sept. 26. The Atlantic Volleyball team traveled to Lewis Central to compete in a triangular against Creston and Lewis Central. Creston is 7-9 while Lewis Central is 21-4 this season.

The Trojans took on Creston first, competing hard through all three sets. In the first set, the panthers won 25-18, 25-17 in the second set. In the final set the Trojans fell short 25-17 again. On the second and final game of the night, Atlantic took on the hosting team Lewis Central. The trojans couldn’t seem to get it going and lost in three sets. Scores went 25-3, 25-7, 25-3.

Atlantic’s next game will be Thursday, Sept. 28. against the Kuemper Catholic Knights who are 26-2. Thursday will be the final home game of the season and senior night. The first set will begin at 7:15 p.m.
