Hanna Redler was a part of dance for a majority of high school. Redler was in show choir grades 9-10 and enjoyed the dancing aspect. She also found friends in that she could relate to. Later, Redler ended her dancing in show choir, but soon later found another interesting dance group.

Redler decided to join Villa Dance last year (2015). Villa Dance had different ranges of ages in her group and a variety of classes to choose from. She was inspired by friends to join. “All my friends were in dance,” Redler said. Another one of her favorite things about dance was the environment. “Haley always made things fun,” Redler said. Haley Pelzer is one of the dance teachers at Villa Dance.

“My favorite part of dance was performing at the Wells Fargo Arena for hockey games,” Redler said. The Villa Dance team also performed at basketball games during half-time in Atlantic. They performed the routine the Villa group was working on for the past couple months. Redlers’s favorite memory in dance was driving home with her best friend, Zaria Agboglo, in the middle of a snow storm.

The dance group that Redler was a part of attended and practiced for many events. They attended hockey games, the Iowa Barnstormers Football team in Omaha, Nebraska, halftime at basketball games and their annual dance recital, which is held in AHS’s auditorium. “The recital routine was definitely my favorite,” Redler said.

Hanna’s  favorite memory was homecoming in 10th grade because it was on her birthday and she had a pretty great birthday party.
