Monday May 15, the girls golf team took home the regional golf title at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club. They shot a 337 beating the second place team by 38 strokes.

Atlantic and Shenandoah will be the two teams advancing to the regional final at the 5x 80 golf course for a trip to state.

Senior Brooke Newell racked up another medalist honor shooting a 77 on the day. The next Trojan to place was sophomore Alyssa Ginther shooting a 83 and earning a third place finish.

Coach Kathy Hobson said she was very pleased with how the girls performed. Hobson went on to say “all six girls shook off bad holes and recovered with pars and bogies.” She also said the best shot of the day was Newell’s 25 foot birdie putt on hole 14.

The girls will play again  on Monday, May 22.
