Prior to being a Trojan, Kyja Arnold attended Omaha schools and Lavista schools. She has participated in dance, basketball, softball, tennis, and track throughout her life. One of her favorite high school memories took place in tennis when she and fellow senior Olivia Davis beat their rivals, although her most memorable event in life thus far includes the Spanish trip to Costa Rica. Arnold’s art work can be found on the walls of AHS. Art is her favorite activity, and she has been greatly influenced by Ms. Wiederien.
After graduating, Arnold plans to attend La James in Johnston, IA for cosmetology. Even in her younger years, she aspired to be a cosmetologist. “It’s just always been a passion of mine. I’ve always been into that kind of stuff.” In ten years, Arnold hopes to be successful in the cosmetology field.
Although Arnold knows how to drive a stick shift, she would like to be able to fly so she wouldn’t have to drive everywhere. If she were to win the lottery, she would “buy a puppy farm to raise puppies.” This dream is inspired by her two mastiffs. Janis Joplin is Arnold’s role model as she’s “so free spirited.”
