Kaylee Pappal loves to participate in archery, journalism and art. She is very proud of her artwork. “I drew a very good wine glass,” Pappal said. Her favorite part each day is first period art class. “I would suggest everyone take an art class in high school, because everybody has a particular style they do well. You just have to find out what it is,” Pappal said.

“I’ve never not been interested in art. I’ve always drawn on my homework and have been interested in artistic pursuits since kindergarten.” Pappal is a “self inspired” artist with big aspirations.

After high school, Pappal will be going to college. She doesn’t know what she wants her profession to be, although Pappal loves to take pictures of activities for journalism class. “I wish I would’ve gone out for Journalism earlier,” Pappal said. In school, journalism adviser Allison Berryhill has made a big impact on her. “Berryhill is very supportive,” Pappal said.

Pappal moved to Atlantic in 2002 to move closer to family. She lived in Pace, Florida, and she loves to vacation back home. Her most cherished family moment is moving to Iowa. Pappal’s mother is her biggest role model. “My mom is very supportive, and empathetic,” Pappal said. Her biggest dream is to “own a farm with a lot of animals someday.” Right now Pappal has two cats.

Pappa’ls dream job when she was younger was to be a Barista, a person whose job involves preparing and serving different types of coffee. Pappal’s favorite books include, “The Name of The Wind,” “The Hobbit,” and the Harry Potter series. If she could have any superpower she would have “superior intelligence to solve the world’s problems.” When Pappal leaves the Atlantic halls she wants to be remembered as a “good photographer.”
