After a few weeks of anxious waiting, the band students who were nominated by Jarrod O’Donnell for the ISU honor band finally found out who was accepted on Dec. 12. There were six students who were accepted: Nadia Somers, Hannah Richter, Charity Williams, Sam Coder, Rebekah Hallaman and Miranda Chipman. These six students will be travelling to Ames on Feb. 3 and stay until the evening of the 4th.

There are two different types of honor bands, the Gold band where students who performed in the All-State band will be playing together, and the Cardinal band where the other students will be placed. The students who will be in the Cardinal band are required to have chair placement auditions.
