BBB PREVIEW vs. Glenwood

Atlantic looks to continue their hot streak and move to 5-0 to begin the 2016-2017 season.

The Trojan boys basketball team are on a hot start to their season winning each of their first four games. Tuesday night the Trojans will be hosting the Rams from Glenwood who have began their season 3-1.

The Rams are fresh off a win after defeating St. Albert 57-35 last Saturday. Atlantic previously played St. Albert at home on Dec. 2 and defeated the Falcons 66-49 where senior Garrett Franken had also broken his 1000th career point.

Atlantic lost to the Rams in the playoffs last season 63-61.

Junior Andrew Blum leads all Ram scorers from Glenwood with 67 points this season through four games. Franken of Atlantic leads the Trojans with 99 points.

Last Friday Atlantic beat Creston on the road 65-60, behind Franken’s 21-point outing and junior Scott Leonard’s 20 points. Franken recorded a double-double.

Franken recorded three blocks while junior Grant Podhajsky recorded seven assists while junior Austin Alexander added five. Leonard and Franken each finished with eight and 11 rebounds respectively while sophomore Chase Mullenix recorded another 8.

Three Trojans shot 100% from the charity stripe while another two only missed one shot.
